How it happened...

Mom got the call about 12:45 from Robert, Cody's boss, that Cody had been in an accident. He had been electrocuted. All we knew is that he had been electrocuted and had to be shocked 2 times. When they got him down from the bucket he was lifeless. No pulse, no breaths! A co-worker Travis performed CPR on Cody for a total of 15-20 minutes until the paramedics arrived. We drove to Oklahoma City not knowing a thing, not even if he was alive or not! It's still not quite clear what caused the accident. He was cutting a neutral line and somehow came in contact with a live wire with his shoulder. The extent of the damage is believed to be inside.

"Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant life" - Jer. 33:6

  2. Miracles do happen. 10 years ago we got "The Call". Lance had been in an accident was not expected to make it thru the night. Prayer is a powerful thing. We got our miracle and I am sending prayers for a miracle for you. You will find strength and stamina you never knew you had and it is from friends and people you didn't even know they knew you. God does provide miracles. We are praying for you and Cody and the whole family.

  3. There is power in prayer, and the networking of God's people joining in prayer moves the heart and hand of God. We too witnessed the strength and support of prayer in concert 9 years ago learning that people gathered from Hawaii to New York to Canada to lift our family and our need in prayer to Almighty God. Heaven moved as we received our miracle and I am alive today to testify to the love, grace, mercy and power of our great God. Bathe your minds in God's word and let His truth and love wash over your fears. You are especially precious to the Lord. Allow those God sends to you to comfort, keep, support, and carry your burdens that you may fully devote your time and attention to your beloved son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, grandson, etc. We love you and continue to pray.

  4. I can say to Jessie and Jennifer, I know exactly all the emotions that the two of you are going through with your brother. I HAVE BEEN THERE! My brother was not as young as Cody nor was he electrocuted, but he had a massive heart attack in a small town in Kansas and had to be medi flighted to Wichita. They doctor on the flight had to keep shocking him and bringing him back to life. When they called us they had said he would be dead by the time he reached Wichita and had even wrote doa on his report. Wow how does one handle that kind of news? By the Grace of God. One must be a true believer and worship Him with all their might. We just prayed in the car all the way to Wichita. I ask Him to please not take my bubba and best friend. When we reached the hospital and went in to see Rick, it was very hard not to break down, but the doctor told us before we went in that we had to remain calm and not break in front of him. They were going to take him in for open heart surgery but 95% chance he will not make it through surgery. I was willing to take the 5% chance he will pull through. He could not talk to us as his body was so worn out from the heart attack and the shocking had killed about 60% of his heart. Having to say good bye before they took him to surgery was the most hardest thing I ever had to do. We just went to the chapel and prayed for four hours and like you, we had many family and friends praying for him also. Prayers did work, he pulled through and lived for 8 months after surgery until his heart finally gave away and he passed on to go be with his Savior. But God did answer our prayers that day and blessed us with 8 more months with the BEST Brother,Son, Dad, Husband and Friend a person could ever ask for. So I say to you that Prayers do work and He does answer then. Just take one day at a time and be believers. Stay Strong!! I love You All! MARLA JACKSON CLINE

  6. I am just a stranger that happened to read your blog.God Bless all of you! Your faith is amazing and it is letting you let go and letting God take the reigns in Cody's healing process. While I have never experienced what you are going through right now, the last several months for my family has been full of many trials none of which I could have born alone. I had many friends and family praying for us. Had it not been for their prayer I would not have had the strength to get through even one minute.Everymorning the Lord gave me a verse in the Bible that was meant to comfort, strengthen and give peace in wisdom. It is still hard-sometimes a minute to minute journey but I see through your blog that God IS WORKING MIRACLES. He's surrounding you with soldiers to lead you in the fight. God Bless to all of you. All things ARE possible through our Lord Jesus.

  9. I saw your blog on facebook and just wanted to let you know that Cody and you all are in my prayers, we serve an amazing God and He is in control, we might question why things like this happen but for everything there is a reason and it is not for us to ask why just to follow Him and keep the faith! Cody sounds like an amazing young man but so does his family. God is with Cody, I am sure of this!
I had open heart surgery a little over a year ago and my biggest fear was that if I closed my eyes where would I wake up at? I had that fear for awhile BUT not for me, for my family. You see I am a Christian, been saved for over 40 years but truly faced with death you are frightened, everyone is, no matter how good of a Christain you think you are, it is faith in our unseen God that you have to believe is there!
God, family and friends are everything to me and I am sure they are to you all too. All I can say is stay strong and stay in God's Word, He will see you through this as he is doing now!
Oh yes, just before I went into surgery to lay my life in the hands of these doctors, I felt the presence of the Lord stronger then I ever had in my whole life and I knew everything would be okay no matter where I woke up, heaven or earth. The 1st service I attended after I was able to walk again i heard this song sung by one of our vocal groups, "It will be Heaven Wether I go or I Stay"! I cried and praised God thru the whole service!!!!I'm doing okay now and even though there has still been a lot of trials I have had to work through I know my God has never forsaken me and ~I'm never alone, no never alone!~
    You are not alone!
God bless you all, prayers are going up now!
