Update: 4:25pm 4-13-10

The Dr. just came and gave an update. They will start weening him off the hypothermia treatments at 7:30pm. It should take about 12 hours to get back to his normal temperature. After he gets back to his normal temperature they will start weening him off the paralytic and sedation medication. They inform us that he could be waking up tomorrow. Oh how I can't wait to see those baby blues! His liver counts were elevated. Didn't seem to be concerned about that considering he was shocked 4 times. His lungs sound 10 times better than yesterday. They wrapped another burn on his left forearm. He has burns on his right shoulder and left and right hands. God is hearing our prayers. Please keep them coming. We are getting good news but the worse is still to come. They will do another EKG once his temperature is normal to check the status of his heart. Praying it is working at more than 15%. He is down to 40% oxygen which is the lowest you go while on the ventilator. They are doing labs on blood work checking for tons of things. His blood gases came back great!

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like an eagle; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint." Isaiah:28-31
