April 20- 10:00pm

Cody had his CT Scan tonight. We won't hear back on that until tomorrow. Dr. Lawton will look at it. Please pray that he sees improvement. He is becoming more alert. He hasn't talked yet but his throat is really sore. We have asked him if he knew who we were, he will nod yes or no. So far he seems to recognize people. It seems to take him a little bit to process what he's asked.

Today has been another day of blessings. We have met some people that in some way have a connection to Cody or someone we know. Only God can sprinkle these people in our lives. They have been such a blessing to talk to.

I have some very exciting news!!!!! Greg and Becky (aunt and uncle) have been admitted into St. Mary's hospital. They are having Brinley Nicole Burt! She will be here soon. Please pray for a safe delivery and a healthy baby girl. Please pray for Becky's safety also. Greg needs a prayer for strength and wisdom to help Becky through this! Yay! I'm so excited. I can't wait to hold this baby girl!

Please continue to pray. Cody needs them. He's fighting but he needs help and only one man can give him that help!

  1. Thank you so much for these updates. They just give me encouragement to keep on praying...let's see what God will do! You all are such an inspiration. Hang in there and God bless you. I hope you get some rest tonight.

  2. It's almost 4:00 a.m. I'm up again with Garrett. I'm glad for another chance to pray. CT scan, new baby, God revealing Himself to Dr. Lawton--all these things I have prayed in these few minutes. Nothing is beyond God. He is able!

We will miss your family at the Ladies Banquet tonight. Get some rest and have a blessed day!

  3. Dear Family,
You all don't know me but I have been keeping up with you all. Praying is the most powerful thing people can do! I have alot of experience with this...My brother was in an accident right at a year ago this month. He also stayed in the other 901 there and he had Dr. Lawton as a doctor and a few others that you all have mentioned. There were alot of times that the doctors even told us that all we can do is PRAY! It is truly amazing to watch miracles happen right in front of your eyes and there being no other reason why they happen except for the Man upstairs doing his job.
This is a life changing event that has happend to you all and life will never be the same after this except that you learn to appreciate every little thing in life lots more.(WalMart is not even the same because of all the beeps that go off at the registers make your heart race because they kinda resemble the sounds of the monitors at the hospital and you start thinking of the doctors and nurses of family because you are around them so much.)
Thanks for keeping this blog because people you don't even know have been praying lots because of it.
